| Post-paid mobile services to resume by Monday in Nepal
The wait may be finally over: Government sources on Wednesday said that post-paid mobile phone services would resume in Kathmandu Valley latest by Monday. This would end the suspension of mobile phone operations since February one. According to Kathmandu Post, a high-ranking government official said the Ministry of Information and Communication has already given green signal to Nepal Telecom (NT) to resume the stalled mobile phone service. If everything goes well, services of post paid mobile phone lines distributed by NT would resume by Monday," However "The service may come into operation before the mentioned date, but it depends on how early we can complete the technical work required to resume the service." According to the official, the government, at present has been scrutinizing and verifying re-registration documents submitted by customers. Since NT started the re-registration process on March 15, about 43,000 customers using 98510 post-paid mobile phones have re-registered their lines. A total of around 55,000 such lines have been distributed in Kathmandu Valley.
